South Park: Phone Destroyer App Review

Death, Taxes, The Simpsons, and South Park, all of the things you can count on to continue in life. As a big South Park fan, I was interested in how this game would keep the edge of the TV show, and still apply to a wide audience of Game players; it was hit and miss for me. The model they used for the game is very common, obviously it’s something that’s tried and true since so many games adopt the same gameplay; however, it lost my attention quickly. One thing I loved about this game is that they still attempt to push buttons, stay on edge, and make you life as you’re playing the game. You can always count on killing Kenny, Cartman’s foul language, and cultural appropriation that will make the liberals a bit upset.

An issue I had with the gameplay was that communication between characters is seemingly via text, and it just seems like a lot of reading that’s constantly interrupting gameplay and doesn’t feel seamless. I felt like I was always trying to read the next back and forth between Cartman and Kenny, and thought that was more entertaining than actually playing the cards to battle. Now, I want to say that I’m a bit bias too, I’m just not a huge fan of games like this to begin with, but I always want to explore with an open mind; this one just lost me quickly because I got very bored.

If you love games like this, there’s nothing to suggest that you won’t love the South Park game too. I think it’s easy to play, graphics are good, and when you take time to read all of the dialogue, it can be quite funny. I encourage you to play this game and form your own opinion; I hope you have a much more enjoyable experience than I did.
